Doug's Ice Skating Years.

When Doug came home from the Service he worked out on Ice and in 1952, appeared at the famed Roxy Theatre in New York City for 11 months. He followed that with a role in an Ice Show at the Conrad Hilton Hotel in Chicago. Then he was off to London, England to Star as the male lead in the production of THE DANCING YEARS with Gloria Nord.

When THE DANCING YEARS ended in 1955, Doug recieved a cablegram from Ice Skating's queen, Sonja Henie, asking him to join as her partner. He accepted.

Doug was to be Sonja Henie's last skating partner before she retired. He says that you can't imagine how many publicity shoots they did in that time, too many to remember them all. I am just glad that he has so many photo's of his career, and that he has shared them with us.
